Official Press Release:
Pro Player Stadium, Seattle
"I can officially announce that I, Jason Gazeley, have indeed taken over control of the SCSL Team; The Seattle Skyhawks. I do not intend to let the team affect my ownership of the Hornets or any other NASL team, and it will not affect my IRFL Position.
This is an exciting time for me and the Skyhawks, and I hope that the season continues as my reign has started... With Wins.
Lang played very well tonight, I'm happy with his two goals, and I'm learning my way around the team. I have already spotted two possible weaknesses that i may want to address, although I will not disclose these so as not to unsettle the players.
I need to catch a plane to Saffron now to join the Hornets, so if you'll excuse me..."

As I type this, my second game in charge is under way (1st Half, currently Skyhawks 1-1 Bombers)
As you know, I have NEVER Beaten the Bombers, but now is as good a chance as any... the early Skyhawks goal from Patterson (4th Minute) was only the second goal any of my teams have scored against the Bombers (R.Finesse got the 1st for the Hornets in the SCSF Champions League 1st Round, 2nd Leg) and from that i can draw confidence.
The attack is stronger than the Hornets so I can see more goals going in for the Skyhawks... 4th Time Lucky?

Half-Time at the Pro-Player Stadium...
Skyhawks 2-1 Bombers
Managers View: Good performance. Good to see goals from both strikers, shame to see Edwards let Smurf City get one back. The team can't get complacent, and need at least another goal before they can even think about a win...
Good news from other grounds with Vizhune, Gold Coast, Black Island and Stormers all Drawing... Top of Conference possible.

Less than 5 minutes from full time and the Skyhawks have a VERY nervous manager... Vizhune pick up a point so they go top for a couple of minutes whilst stoppage time is played... FULL TIME: Seattle Skyhawks 2-1 Smurf City Bombers Good game. Probably should have got a 3rd with the 68th minute Free Kick. Good win for the club. A new Dawn for the team... may we be a thorn in the Big Guns sides for seasons to come...

Not quite Yoshi... I don't think SeanTK Has a team in any of the Soccer Leagues... Nope no interest. Anyways, the Owner of the Skyhawks still visits the forums. He told he hasn't taken the time to register. So be careful, he may post.

Interesting stats that I noticed last night...
Date of Skyhawks 2-1 Bombers (my 1st Win over them): 2nd October '04
Date of Bombers 2-0 Hornets (1st encounter and my 1st game in charge of an SCSF team): 2nd May '04
Also, it was my 15th SCSL Game (Hornets played 13 in Season 3 (11 normal season, Play-Off Wild Card Round and Semi-Final)

A 0-0 draw with Caron... I knew it was likely to be a tough game, but we should have come out with more than a point I feel.
We will play Jonestown next, they have had a poor performance at Black Island and will want to bounce back. We have to prove we deserve to be top and I hope a win will be the result...
Bad news to see Lang injured, but I'm bringing in a 3rd Top striker to cover for at least the next 3 games. Jonestown have lost thier last 2 home games, including against the Bombers, whom we swiftly beat in the following round...
Don't expect an easy game, there is no such thing in the SCSL...

Gold Coast... A team capable of big things...
Luck was not on thier side yesterday however as hat-trick hero Patterson knocked in no fewer than 4 goals to lead the Skyhawks to a rampant 6-0 victory against the 8 men team...
The Tigers had 3 players sent off before half-time, leaving us with an easy run of 4 goals in the second half... We go top of the Conference by a clear 2 points.

The manager was in dismay tonight as Seattle lost thier spot at the top of the conference. A draw against Jonestown was not enough to prevent Black Island from overtaking the Skyhawks, who now lie a point behind in second...
