Dear Jonestown Fans ;D WHAT A START FOR JONESTOWN ;D "It has been a tremendous start to the season for the Jonestown United Club after the 1-0 win over Caron. The match was played with passion with both club wanting a perfect start to the season. After an unlucky 1-0 loss in the Pre-Season matches the team have regrouped and come away with a win in front of our home crowd. Our off season trades had their first official match for the club and i am happy with their performance. Hope the team would build on this success in the following matches against tougher opponents." - FarmBoy (Jonestown Manager) "The match was tremendously played and the Jonestown spirit shone through. FarmBoy has really taken the club in the right direction." - (Jonestown Fan) ;D

Jonestown United Magazine (Round 2) Jonestown 0 - Smurf City Bombers 2 Dear Jonestown Fans.. "It was a disappointing loss for the team after the win against Caron. But take nothing away from the Bombers they played extremely well and took their chances in front of goal. The possession was evenly matched but we need to create more chances in front of goal and convert some of our shots on target. Hope the boys will bounce back in the next match." - FarmBoy (Jonestown manager) "We just need to get more shots on target and defend a little better if we are to improve on last season's performance" - Unhappy Jonestown fan

*** BREAKING NEWS *** Jonestown United Magazine has an exclusive interview with FarmBoy and his latest signing P.Harsley from New Auckland. Amidst the many reporters who have gathered at Jonestown United press room we have backstage access to all gossips surrounding this transfer. "What a frantic couple of days for everyone but its good it is all over. We have officially sign P.Harsley from New Auckland after they breached the salary cap. I know many fans of New Auckland are disappointed to see such a player of his calibre to leave the club. We have already signed P.Gain from Vizhune before the season started and things just keep getting better. I know the fans are extremely happy and i can't wait to work with Harsley" - FarmBoy (Jonestown, manager) "It is sad that i have to leave New Auckland since it has been my home for the last couple of years. That's life i suppose you just can't expect it to turn out the way u wanted it to. Then again i am happy to join Jonestown as they are a club with big ambitions after FarmBoy took over after last season. I am sure they will become a force to be reckon with in the not too distant future. I look forward to the challenges that lie ahead and working closely with FarmBoy." P.Harsley (Jonestown's latest signing) "Harsley will be a valuable asset as the club strive for a play-off position. FarmBoy has strengthen the team and i believe he is goin in the right direction. Jonestown United Magazine (Game 3) Saffron Knights 0 - Jonestown United 1 Dear Jonestown Fan Jonestown United travelled to Saffron after going down 1 - 0 to the Bombers last match and was keen to show their new star recruit P.Harsley. Harsley joined fellow new recruit Gain in a formidable midfield with Graves and Garvo. The game ended in a 1 - 0 victory to Jonestown after a tough well fought match as highlighted by the scoreline. It has been a start many Jonestown fans have wished for, after many season of average performances. "I thought it was a close match and Saffron played well. Credits must be given to our players who played tremendous football with special mention to N. Stanton and P.Gain. But it was a great team effort everyone did what they had to and i am pleased with the result. We still need to improve in all areas of the field if we are to challenge the bigger teams." - FarmBoy (Jonestown Manager) New recruit P.Harsley talks about his first game for Jonestown and how he has bonded with the players. "I am pleased with my effort especially in my first match for Jonestown. They are a good bunch of people who support each other and i'm just lucky to be part of the win. I still have to work on my set plays but other than that a successful start to my career at Jonestown." P.Harsley (Jonestown midfielder) We asked N.Stanton about his MOM performance and what lies ahead for the team. "Its an honour for me to get the MOM award especially with so many players having an outstanding game. Our defense has improved since last season especially with the signing of Gill, Moore, Milne and Duku. I'm just happy FarmBoy has given me the chance to play as a starting defender. Hope our defense remain solid and i continue to improve." N.Stanton (Jonestown defender) Jonestown plays Black Island at home and is expected a big crowd should turn up at Kacy Park for P.Harsley first home match.

Jonestown United Magazine (Game 4) Jonestown United 1 - Black Island Mercs 2 Dear Jonestown fans It was a game the team should have won as highlighted by the full time stats. The game was totally dominated by the Jonestown outfit but was unlucky not to have equalised with Black Island. The numerous amount of possessions and shots on target were major statistics Jonestown should have capitalised on. It was a disappointing loss but a successful home debut for P.Harsley who was named Man of the Match. "I am really disappointed in the result even though the team put in a great effort. We have to capitalise on the shots on target and possession flow. We had the majority of the ball and i must admit Black Island was lucky to come away with the win. I am proud of how P.Harsley performed today and i hope he continues his form." - FarmBoy (Jonestown manager) "It was a game that got away from us. We cannot afford slip up such as this in the coming matches if we are to progress to the play-offs position. On a lighter note i am happy of my performance and i thank the Jonestown fan for welcoming me into the team." - P.Harsley (Jonestown midfielder) The team will prepare for the next match away to Seattle. FarmBoy has told that the team will train at Jonestown and no media are expected before the match to ensure the players are not distracted. "We must come away from Seattle with a win. We cannot afford to continue with our win-loss sequence."

Jonestown United Magazine (Game 5) Seattle Seahawks 1 - Jonestown United 1
The game was far below the expectation of the fans who turned up for both teams. The game ended in a draw and it was rightly justified. Both team failed to create enough chances on goal which resulted in the 1-1 scoreline.
"I think the result for both team was fair no team stood out from the other and the draw was good enough for us to come away with a point. Seattle's Patterson is the only player which threatened our defenses but we held on. I hope we can continue to get points in all our coming matches to ensure that we will challenge a play-off spot come the end of the season. Right now we must concentrate on our next match against Vizhune."
"Disappointing result we would have liked to come away with the win after our poor performance last game. But thats football sometimes you can't always have it your way." W.Graves (Jonestown midfielder)
The team must now face Vizhune in their next match at home. It will be an emotional game for P.Gain who formerly played for the club but was scrapped after they exceeded the salary cap this season.

Jonestown United Magazine (Game 6) Jonestown United 0 - Vizhune Vipers 0
Dear Jonestown fans.
After an ordinary performance in the last match against Seattle the team came out with a determination to perform especially in front of their own home crowd. The game ended in a 0-0 draw and both team came away with a well deserved point.
"The game was evenly matched and Vizhune should be given some credit for a tight match. I believe they are the team who will be guaranteed a play-off spot. The draw moves us above Smurf City into second spot which is positive for the club. Our players matched them in all aspects on the field if we can do that for the rest of the season we will be in good stead." FarmBoy - Jonestown manager
"It was a tight match and it was unfortunate it ended in a draw. I would have liked to win against my old club but there is another game in hand hopefully we will triumph." P.Gain - Jonestown midfield.
The team will now travel to Saphire Coast who is buoyed by their 3-0 win over Peanut Valley. FarmBoy gave this message before the interview finished "They are a quality side and we must be playing our best to get a point against them. Their 3-0 victory showed the class they possess and we must match them. If we can outplay them in the midfield we are in a chance."

Jonestown United Magazine (Round 7) Saphire Coast Sharks 0 - Jonestown United 0
Jonestown United travelled to Saphire Coast to take on the Sharks in round 7 which ended in a 0 - 0 draw. In front of nearly 54,000 supporters both team failed to score despite Jonestown having more chances on goal. The game had one goal in the 4th minute but was disallowed after the linesman suspected Jonestown's P.Hayes of committing a foul. The game took a turn for the worse for the Sharks after K.Olsen was given a red card in the 74th minute after a reckless tackle on S.Bryant. Jonestown failed to capitalise inhis absence and the Sharks held on for a draw.
"Well we had some chances to beat the deadlock especially in the first half where we had 2 goals disallowed. The first goal to P.Hayes should have stayed as i didn't see anything wrong and the linesman just got it all wrong. The second disallowed goal was a line ball decision and from the replay it showed that some part of the ball had crossed the line. But the referee had to judge on what he saw from his eyes. I am a little disappointed in some calls by the officials but we still got a point i can't complain about that." FarmBoy (Jonestown manager)
"Some calls out there were just plain shocking. We should have came away with either a 1-0 win or 2-0 win but because of some rash decisions by the linesman we came away with only a point." P.Hayes (Jonestown, Striker)
After the game FarmBoy spoke to his team and was proud of their performance and dedication on the pitch. On the injury front P.Gain will be fit for next match against Conneaut after he was injured in the 85th minute. The team must ensure they play their best and come away with the win to stay 2nd in their division after Stondon upsets New Auckland to be equal with Jonestown on Points.

Jonestown United Magazine (Round 8) Jonestown United 1 - Conneaut Spartans 3
Dear Jonestown Fans
It was a disappointing result not only for the fans but also for the team as they are looking to secure the second spot in the division behind Vizhune. On the lighter side Jonestown have secured the services of I. Ashbee from Prowlers who was unfortunately sent off in the 52nd minute. After his sent off Jonestown was never going to bridge the 2 goals to nil gap that had already opened up.
"The team played poorly and our cause wasn't helped by the sending off. We let in 2 easy goals which we know was due to bad marking. Like i said earlier in the season if we re to get into the play-offs we must improve in all areas of the pitch. We need to regroup and look towards the next match" - FarmBoy (Jonestown manager)
Jonestown United Magazine also asked FarmBoy about his new signings B.Maiorana and I.Ashbee.
"Well they will definitely improve our defense for many seasons to come. We now have depth in the midfields and defense which will assist us to get that elllusive play-offs spot. I welcome both players to our team and hope they have the same goals and ambitions as i have." FarmBoy (Jonestown manager)

Jonestown United Magazine (Round 9) Jonestown United 0 - Stondon Bears 1
Dear Jonestown fan
It was a game that we need to win to keep our play-off spot alive. The 1 - 0 defeat at home moved Jonestown second last in the division after wins by Smurf City lifting them up to second place on the ladder.
"It was an extremely depressing game not only for myself but also for the fans. We were expected to win that game considering both team were tipped to be in the bottom two come end of the season. This season has been really close so if we can string a few wins together we can still make the play-offs for the first time. All we can do now is put this disappointment behind us." FarmBoy (Jonestown manager)
FarmBoy also commented on the performance of his recent signing B.Maiorana from Peanut Valley Prowlers. "Well we acquired some quality defenders the last couple of days and Maiorana will be a regular in the first team squad. Despite his age (18) he has matured as a footballer and i am sure he will do us and the fans proud.
"It has been a good transfer for me on my career because i have been given the opportunity to play a regular first team position which is what i was dreaming of at Prowlers. I hope i can repay FarmBoy on the field for giving me this opportunity." B.Maiorana (Jonestown Defender)
Jonestown now tackles bottom place Caron away from home and looking to bounce back after this lack lustre performance. It will be a challenge for the Jonestown team who drew with the Chargers earlier in the season.

Jonestown United Magazine (Round 10) Caron Chargers 0 - Jonestown United 0
Jonestown travelled to Caron Chargers hoping to return to the winners circle after the loss against Stondon. The game ended in 0 - 0 but the team showed great improvement since the last match. New recruit B.Maiorana was named Man of the Match after only playing 2 matches both for Jonestown after his transfer from Peanut Valley.
"Well there was a great feeling in the dressing room before the match and the boys knew we need to get some points against Caron. We were focused and it showed on the pitch. Congratulation on B.Maiorana he has definitely been a great buy for the team and i look forward to see him become a great defender." FarmBoy (Jonestown manager)
"It looks like we got a next All Star player to come after his performance today. If he can continue his form he will surely become a great defender. Despite only playing in the 2 matches we have got a good understanding between us and hope that continues" J.Gill (Jonestown defender)
"What a performance by the young lad. Jonestown has got a star of the future in him." N.Stanton (Jonestown defender)
"To get credits from both player is a tremendous honour for me. They have helped me during the past weeks since my arrival and have welcomed me with open arms. We work well on and off the field and the guys have shown me around the city which was good. I just couldn't let them down today." B.Maiorana (Jonestown MOM defender)
The team now travels to Gold Coast for a crucial match that they must win to keep their finals hope alive. Gold Coast gave the team a thumping in the pre-season match and the team looks forward of improving on that result. Jonestown is buoyed by the return of I.Ashbee from suspension to strengthen the defense.
