Hello everybody! If you have been following Jeeper's "Airwave Air" thread you will know that I will start a USA tour using Microsoft's Flight Simulator 2004. If you haven't heard anything about this, well, you have now! For details about what is going to be in my tour, please go to Jeeper's "Airwave Air" thread here in the off-topic forum, and you will find my posts that explain in detail about what I am doing. (Go to around page 20,21 I think. More details are probably near other pages around there too. If you have a hard time finding the details, ask here or ask Jeeper where to find them.) Enjoy my tour! -Sean

The First Tour!!!!!! Location: Northern Washington state Airplane: Beechcraft King Air 350 Tour spots: Seattle, Port Angeles, San Juan Islands. Welcome to my first tour leg, This tour was very exciting for me since I used to live in Washington (Port Angles) and now I get to show you how nice it is! (Besides the typical rain and cloudy weather. First, I took off at Seattle's Boeing Feild where the headquarters and factory for the Boeing Aircraft Company is located. At this airport, you will find the original Boeing factory (a little red house and barn), as well as the Seattle Air & Space Museum. And of course their main factory where they produce their wonderful airliners! Fast Facts: -The newest airplane that Boeing is making is the twin-engine 7E7 Dreamliner. -The Boeing company has made aircraft for both the civilian and military markets and still will modify it's jets for military roles to this day. ( In the following picture: The building in front is the museum and the red building behind is part of the original factory.) I then flew to downtown Seattle where I saw many things including the Seattle Mariners baseball feild, the Seattle Seahawks football feild, as well as the "Space Needle", Ferry Boats (I used to use those a lot), and many of the interesting skyscapers!(Raining the entire time ofcourse. ) Next, I went to where I used to live! Port Angeles, Washington! You will see in the following shots, part of the town, as well as "the hook" where the Coast Guard Airstation is located. That is where my dad worked. The town is located right next to the "Olympic Mountain Range." You will see that in the first picture. Fast Fact: The town name means, "Port of Angels" I then went to the San Juan Islands, kind of between Port Angeles and Seattle. They are located at the entrace to the bay before hitting Seattle. This spot is called one of the most beutiful areas among flightsimmers. Fast Fact: This region has multiple small airlines operating just in this area because in order for the residents to access hospitals or major areas like Seattle, they can only go by boat or plane. I then closed up this trip by landing at one of the most popular airports in the islands. It is called Friday Harbor. That's it for the first part of the tour!! Stay tuned to this thread for the rest of my trip around the most scenic places in the United States! The next leg will be in California! I hope you enjoyed it, and if you have any comments or questions, please post them! -Sean

My Flight in CALIFORNIA!!! (And my 100th post! ;D) Plane taken: Antonov AN-225 Cities Visited: Los Angeles, San Fransico, Oakland Well, well, well...... my second flight of the trip. This was a very interesting flight because I got to see many unique buildings and structures! Especially in San Fransico! I don't have time for a long narrative today becuase it's a school night( ) but I hope you enjoy the shots! HERE WE GO.......! First, I took off at Los Angeles International (KLAX) and, having never used this plane before, was very nervous at how fast the end of the runway was approching! Other than that, it was a succesful take-off and I immediatly turned northwest to go toward the city. (Here are part of the suburbs of Los Angeles. You can see part of LAX in the backround.) Then, I travelled up the coast in order to reach San Fransisco and Oakland. The sky and weather was beautiful!! Then, I saw the land formations and the Golden Gate Bridge signalling that I was approaching the San Fran. bay area!! Here is anothe pic of the famous Golden Gate Bridge! Immediatly after the bridge, I flew over the prison Alcatraz. (spelling?) Then, immediatly to my right was the city of San Fransisco with its wonderful skyscrapers! While there, I noticed a very strange structure on the outskirts of the city and I was wondering if anybody knows what it is? Here are two pics: Then, since Oakland was a quick hop across the water, I decided to see that area. I saw many bridges along the way! Approaching Oakland and it's stadiums. (Home of the Raiders football team.) Then, I decided to call it a night, so I flew back and attempted to land at San Fransisco International.(Look at all those wheels! ) After having to go around because of a missed approach, I attempted to land again but, not being good with heavy jets, I broke some of the landing gear! That's it for this leg of the trip! I hope you enjoyed it!! The next leg will be in Las Vegas, Nevada! (using a chopper so I can get close to the buildings!) I'll wait till next week-end to do the Las Vegas one so I have more time and so I can provide a better narrative about the trip. Once again, if you have any questions, please ask! (Comments are appreciated too!) -Sean

SPECIAL EDITION FLIGHT!!!!!!!!! Hi guys! I was bored today so I decided to present you with a special flight! It features the airport I fly out of and the type of plane I use in real life, featured in flightsim! I use a Cessna 152 Trainer out of a small airport in central Pennsylvania. The airplane pictured here is a payware model of the same kind of plane I use in real life. (I got this model as a gift before I started my real lessons.) The only thing is I wish the real one had a paint job as cool as this! This next shot is very, very similar in appearance to the real cockpit I have to deal with. One more shot of the 152: Here is the airport I fly out of. It is called Reigle feild. Microsoft did a pretty good job with the way the airport looks. However, using AFCAD, I added more parking spots, and I taxiway next to the runway. However, in real life, it is a "grass" taxiway. I also added AI traffic to the airport using another program. I hope you enjoyed this special tour! I will continue with the main tour tomorrow or Saturday in Las Vegas!! See you then! -Sean

WELCOME TO LAS VEGAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hello again and welcome to my newest part of the trip, famous Las Vegas, Nevada! This tour has A LOT of pictures so hang in there for all you dail-up fans! (around 30 Pictures!) Aircaft: Sikorsky HH-60G Pavehawk (desert camo) & Bell UH-1H Huey. Location/ tour spot: Las Vegas, Nevada. Western USA. For this trip, I knew I needed choppers to get close to the buildings so I started it with the Pavehawk. I took off out of McCarran International, right next to "the strip" in Las Vegas. When I was taking off, I knew that this city is famous for it's "high rollers", but all the learjets is just rediculous! (1st. Pic: part of McCarran Int.) (2nd. Pic: High Rollers!) Then, I moved on to "the strip" and here are two overview shots of it: The first hotels I came across were the Mandalay Bay and the Luxor hotels. The Mandalay Bay actually has 24 karot gold film on parts of the windows. It is similar to the Mirage hotel that I will show you later. The Luxor pyramid is actually bigger than the real egyption pyramids and it's light beam is one of the brightest in the world! Next, I found myself around many hotels bunched together which included: The MGM Grand, The New York New York, Ceaser's Palace, as well as many others! Here are some pictures of them: Here are the really cool fountains in front of the Billagio Hotel! Then I found the Barbary Coast Hotel (I think it is a hotel....) right next to one of two HILTON hotels! (Nugget will love this, as well as the other one and another surprise!) Then I went to other hotels such as Bally's and Harrah's. Here is part of the Billagio with the Bally's sign in the foreground. Then, I went to the Mirage Hotel. (It has the same golden window idea as Mandalay.) (It used to be the "home" of the Sigfreid and Roy show before Roy was injured by one of his tigers. ) Right next to the Mirage was the Treasure Island Hotel with it's volcano! (At night in flightsim, the volcano will erupt!) Now, we are nearing the end of "the strip" with only a few more hotels to go... Now I passed The Stardust, Circus Circus, Stratosphere, as well as the second HILTON hotel! Nugget will like this, the second HILTON as well as a balloon back at Bally's with the name "Paris" on it! Then, at the end of my trip, I returned to McCarran Int... THE END (of this leg of the tour) Comments and questions are welcome! The next leg of the tour will probably be a combination of the Grand Canyon in Arizona and the Rocky Mountains in Colorado! That will probably appear in two to three weeks. Thank You -Sean
